Engage has an article on the entirely predictable use put by the Iranian state news agency to the NUJ boycott of Israel and that by "JBIG" (Jews for boycotting Israeli Goods).
The Iranian headline is: "British Jews welcome journalists joining Israeli boycott".
Here's what Engage reports:
The official Iranian news agency reports in glowing terms a letter which "JBIG" (Jews for boycotting Israeli Goods" had published in the guardian on Wednesday. The letter is signed by Deborah Fink, Naomi Wimborne-Idrissi, Mike Cushman, Sylvia Finzi, Tony Greenstein, Ruth Tenne, Deborah Maccoby, Prof Moshe Machover, Mike Marqusee.
All but one of these JBIG signatories are also signatories of "Independent Jewish Voices", a group which says that it is in favour of social justice and universal human rights.
Deborah Fink, who seems to speak for "JBIG" says that their aim is to kosherize the boycotting of Israeli goods. She has also described Israel as a "satanic state".
JBIG? IJV? More like Jews for the succour of murderers.

These people are more than misguided. They're treacherous. But it seems their boycott isn't resonating too well. It only passed the NUJ by a scant majority, and only a tiny percentage of NUJ members actually voted.
What depresses me more is the rabid antisemitism that I see on the Guardian's CIF. Is it really possible that antisemitism is so rife in Britain? Or is it just that the antisemites tend to congregate in one place and all crawl out of the woodwork together?
Anti-Semitism - or, as I prefer to call it, Jew-bashing - is an ever reborn hatred. Give this rattlesnake a chance, and it will slither out from under whatever stone you have crushed it with last time, because all it needs is one sick conscience to nest in. However, I would like to know where our resident Jewish racist, Joshua, is, when Jews are being threatened by other Jews. Or would it be too deadly an admission for him to make, that Jews can be just as lousy, villainous and hate-ridden as anyone else?
