I've thought of a little game. I misread the following Times headline this morning:

Chancellor backs down in fight for EU cash

What I read it as at first glance was much more interesting:

Chancellor breaks down in fight for EU cash

I now have an image in my mind of Gordon Brown in tears at a meeting of ECOFIN.

Perhaps you'd like to leave your own examples in the comments box of real headlines which could be misread into a much better story.

From the Telegraph:

Brown and Blair unite to defend pensions raid

I'd like to think that this referred to Blair and Brown speaking through their solicitors to protest their innocence after the Fraud Squad kicked their doors in and carted them off to the nick.
