Charged with a crime against language
I've just heard Des Smith, the headmaster arrested over cash-for-honours, on the radio talking about the decision not to prosecute him. "I've been literally hung out to dry by Tony Blair and the government".
Funny. I'd have thought we'd have noticed the sight of the Prime Minister and Cabinet attaching a soaking wet Mr Smith to a washing line.
