The poor mite. There, there.

I dont think you're being fair. Eriksson was subjected to the most prolonged, ferocious and sustained media assault I have seen in thirty years of reading British newspapers, purely because it offended the racist British sports journalists that a fucking johnny foreigner should be hired to run the sacred England team. As soon as they had finally squeezed him out, they started applying the same treatment to the next applicant - none other than Felipe Scolari, one of the finest and most successful managers in the world - to such effect that Scolari walked out on the negotiations, and slammed the door. If you want to support English racism of a kind we had thought dead outside the BNP, do take this attitude. Do take the view that the Press is a pleasant body of harmless little jobbers who would never hurt anyone for no reason or out of racism, and that Swedes are just whiners. After all, you are a pressman yourself, aren't you? Eriksson may not have been as successful as was hoped, but that was not why the drunken louts of the Press went after him; they were out to destroy him before they knew whether he was animal, vegetable or mineral.
Paolo,
I'm afraid that your post is simply grist to the mill of all those Brits who firmly believe that individuals with names like Paolo are generally very excitable little men who tend to lose arguments even before they have opened their mouths.
That's good, Joshua. And were you a Brit during the Lebanon thing? I seem to recall distinctly anti-British sentiments until Pete_London had to ask you to desist.
Yo Jimmy!
"And were you a Brit during the Lebanon thing?"
No, I was Mongolian during the "Lebanon thing." During Britain's illegal war against Serbia, I was Syrian. Today, I am Brazilian.
"I seem to recall distinctly anti-British sentiments until Pete_London had to ask you to desist."
Asked me to desist? LMFAO.
In that I am against widespread British anti-Semitism, anti-Americanism and the usual perfidy and second-rateness, yes, I guess you could call me anti-British.
And you entirely missed the point of my reply to Paolo. You're not exactly the brightest light on the marquee at the best of times, but you surpassed even your laughably low standards here.
You used to teach? Was that PE or domestic science?
I have to go. Ipanena awaits.
Joshua - if you of all people wish to back up the BNP, Sports Pages section, be my guest. I did not have much time for you before anyway.
