South African ministers are now, it seems, allowed another kind of hatred: that of Israel.

Unfortunately, the long habit of the exiled or foriegn-supported ANC leadership, to deal with the Western left, plus the abiding and important Communist influence, means that the SA leadership is dipped into PC nonsense to such a depth that it becomes practically impossible to reach them with common sense. The SA Anglican Church, for instance, is the only African Anglican body to have supported - even vigorously supported - the American Episcopalian nomination of a homosexual drunkard as bishop of Vermont, which has caused rage from one end of the continent to the other. And really, it does not make a lot of sense. These people have been put in nearly absolute power by the effects of the collapse of white power, and there is no easily visible political opposition. But mentally and morally, they are a thin layer of western Politically Correct of the Berkeley, California, kind, floating over an ocean of conservative whites and blacks. One wonders whether it is the propaganda that comes from on top that will turn the mass of South Africans into PC drones, or whether sooner or later the un-African and unrepresentative nature of their beliefs will lead to some sort of collapse and change. Anyway, when talking to a member of the SA elite, never forget to take the tone you would use in San Francisco.
Not only are some of his best friends Jewish - but so is he!
He's as Jewish as Naom Chomsky, Harold Pinter, Jacqueline Rose and Gerald Kaufman (i.e. not very).
Do remind me -- why is Chomsky "not very" Jewish?
Ask Chomsky himself if he identifies himself as a Jew. Let me count the ways:
1. he supports the destruction of the Jews of Israel
2. he supports a Holocaust denier named Robert Faurisson.
Should I go on?
Regardless of the truth of your statements (they are false), I wasn't aware that someone stopped being Jewish on account of their political views. Can you explain this phenomenon?
Voluntary Jewishness, eh? Or rather, the facility to be unilaterally declared 'not very Jewish' by volunteers: the kapos of Zionism who abound on this sort of site.
Over at Harry's Place Michael Rosen, one of the better known Jewish writers and broadcasters in Britain, has been courteously informed he isn't really a Jew either. Not keen enough on the State of Israel, see. In the abstract of course- perhaps 60pc of the world's Jews aren't all that Jewish by the same reckoning, since they have no inention of ever living in Herzl's paradise.
As Paul Bogdanor has written:
Although they lose no opportunity to equate their fellow Jews with Nazis, anti-Zionists readily lend a helping hand to actual Nazis. At one time the ne plus ultra of Jewish collaboration with anti-Semites was the infamous Alfred Lilienthal, who insisted that the Diary of Anne Frank was a fake. Then the baton passed to Noam Chomsky, who explicitly praised Holocaust deniers, allowed them to publish his books and essays, collaborated in their propaganda campaigns, and defended his performance with the memorable observation that he saw “no anti-Semitic implications in denial of the existence of gas chambers.â€
Nowadays the committed neo-Nazi will find anti-Zionist Jews falling over themselves to assist him. Paul Eisen, of the PLO front group Deir Yassin Remembered, has openly defended Ernst Zundel, now on trial in Germany for his neo-Nazi activities. Neve Gordon, the Israeli professor who sued his critic Steven Plaut in a blatant attempt to silence him, has not called in the lawyers to remove his own articles from Zundel’s website. And the anti-Zionist journalist Shraga Elam went to the trouble of writing to David Irving in order to share his belief that “Hitler was no part of the project Auschwitz.â€
We are still lacking an explanation of how Chomsky became "not very" Jewish on account of his views. Do please supply one.
Perhaps you can also expatiate on the factual claims that you cite:
1. Can you quote me the explicit praise Chomsky conferred on Holocaust deniers?
2. Which Holocaust-denying publisher did Chomsky "allow" to publish his work? Did they publish any of his work? If so, what work? What role are you alleging Chomsky had in this publication, if it occurred?
Dear Stuart A
Nobody, really nobody claims that Chomsky physically stopped being Jewish. When people say he's not as Jewish anymore that's short for expressing that he is not what the person saying this thinks Jewish people ought to be like.
Figurative speech. Sure you make use of it sometimes.
If that is indeed what Ripper meant, then I would like him to confirm it, because in this context his words were absurdly misleading.
Pollard posted with a subject line that implied Kasrils was anti-Semitic. The form he chose was particularly fatuous, given that Kasrils is himself Jewish.
Ripper's response was, if I buy your explanation, that Kasrils is "figuratively" not Jewish, to some undefined extent, and therefore that Pollard's subject line was "figuratively" to some extent not fatuous. In other words, what Ripper said was essentially meaningless.
