Talking of football - what a surpise that Arsene Wenger should have spent last night bleating about the result, and the match being ruined by the sending off. Here's the thing, Arsene: when a goalie does what Lehmann did, he gets sent off. That's what happens. It's part of what's called The Rules.
What a lovely night it was all round.

I don't know of anyone in my office who wanted the Gooners to win, and I am not just talking about bitter and twisted Spurs fans, either. Mind you, Stephen old chap, I'd be a bit careful about taking the mickey, since when was the last time that Spurs was in the European Cup? I think Harold McMillan was still PM at the time. Ouch.
Oh dear Pollard, I see you haven't yet got over missing out to the Gooners. Which reminds me - when is Levy going to apologise to Marriot?
Do keep the jokes coming, we can take it. We had a fine couple of days in Paris, came within 14 minutes of being Champions of All Europe and can be proud of how our players never game up and ran themselves to a standstill. Passion and glory, Pollard - get yourself over to the Arsenal next year and you'll see what they are.
