Thought for the Day
It's somewhat passe to point out that Radio 4's Thought For the Day is usually a two minute piece of the archetypal BBC-mindset propaganda, rarely involving thought rather than knee jerk left-liberalism.
Today's contribution was, however, even by the normal standards of Thought For the Day, astonishing.
Rev Alan Billings (Deputy Leader of Sheffield City Council under David Blunkett) informed us that:
Paying taxes is how love operates at a distance.
I had another listen, just in case I was taking out of context. I wasn't.
We either pay to have this stuff broadcast or get sent to prison.
