"Less gratuitously spiteful"? This is a website which boasts, in its leading comment, a jibe about 'fillings in our teeth' which is quite obviously a jokey allusion to the concentration camp practice of removing the gold fillings from the teeth of murdered Jews. I accepted that the 'flying pigs' image in Labour's recent election poster was innocent, and used a common expression which wasn't intended as anti-Jew, but this is so blatant it makes me sick.

I clicked on The Friday Project's article about Dresden, fascinated to see what the writer had to say about this 'war crime' (the opening paragraph gives a fair indication of what lies ahead), but found that I'd have to subscribe to read more. The hell with it: I'll never pay £15, or even 1p, to these racist scum. And the hell with the bloody Guardian too.

Well done, Yaakov, for pointing this out.

Sorry to bang on about this, but it's really upset me.

The Friday Project/Thing's comment says of Livingstone:

Well, yes, we should. Imagine the above statement with 'the Holocaust's' replaced by 'apartheid's' or 'the Rwanda genocide's' or even 'the Birmingham Five's'. Such a remark wouldn't make it past whatever passes for a sub-editor's desk on a crappy online rag like TFP/T. "We've all done it" - speak for yourself, you smug, ignorant little moron. And even if Livingstone's statement were merely 'crass and boorish' (rather than trivialising of the worst crime in human history), why wouldn't that be worthy of condemnation in itself? Oh, sorry, I forgot that krass is kool.

By the way, the site is also endorsed by The Sunday Times, The Observer and Time Out, among others.

Can you imagine the outcry if this monster had joked about Jamie Bulger? Unfortunately, for individuals like him or her, 1.5 million innocent Jewish children weigh less in the balance than one innocent gentile child. Britain has become a sick and evil place, and men and women of goodwill and great talent like Stephen Pollard and Melanie Phillips who believe that they can fend off the mounting horror with mere words are living in a fool's paradise. The only solution for the Jews of Europe is to get out and make a new life for themselves in America or Israel. At least in the latter they have a chance to defend themselves.

They used to say that anti-Semitism can never really get a hold in a country so long as the governing political party does not promote Jew-hatred. Well, the Labour Party has crossed that particular bridge and there is now no going back.

Where are *you* heading, Yaakov, America or Israel? Or are you already in one of those blessed sanctuaries, speaking (down) to benighted, gullible Jews who still think there's a future in Britain or France?

I know Ariel Sharon told the French Jews to make aliyah pronto. Does he have the same advice for British ones?

TFF is horribly tasteless (or "crass and boorish", if you prefer); indeed, it's sophomorically offensive about any and all subjects that come to its attention, from dead children to ethnic violence.

To go from 'there is an offensive newsletter published in the UK' to 'all UK Jews should flee to Israel pronto before Tony Blair gasses them' is perhaps the most pathologically lunatic thought process I've ever encountered.

(for what it's worth, most of the Jewish Londoners I know think that Israelis are generally boring and rude, and - in the unlikely event they stopped feeling comfortable here - would rather live 'most anywhere else in the world...)
