You couldn't make it up, because it's true

I know, I know. It's a serious piece and all that by the Archbishop of Canterbury.

But there's something gloriously typical about a piece by the head of the church which has the headline

Archbishop of Canterbury admits: This makes me doubt the existence of God

I cannot be;ieve that any sober journalist could pass such an idiotic headline - unless of course the Archbishop himself blessed it , in which case the state of the church and christian society is beyond redemption. The collapse of reason and intelligence defies understanding.

I often wonder if the archbishop of Canterbury is actually ashamed to be a Christian. He seems to spend an awful lot of time apologising for his religion.

If the Beebs Ceefax pages are to be believed, his New Year message was 'Think global; act local.' Gawd! (Who that? - RW)

And they wonder why the Church of England is dying. Whatever organisation you lead, you should lead it, not apologise for it. If the current Archbishop finds that too hard he should be replaced.

I'm just amazed that it's taken a reasonably intelligent person so long to accept all the evidence!!

Actually, Lambeth Palace didn't agree the headline.

But this is so typical of the pansy mainstream church clergy. Half of them are poofs, many of them are abusers, many have jumped on the bandwagon of evolution, and many, possibly most, don't believe the Bible to be inspired. Of what use are they, other than to be like a can of soup that has been made to be so insipid so as meet the taste of the many and ends up being of no satisfaction for anyone.
