Hell on earth

This year's British Comedy Awards looks like providing a refinement of Sartre's definition of hell:

[T[he organisers of next month's British Comedy Awards are turning to Michael Moore to inject a little controversy into this year's event.

The American polemicist...is being lined up as a guest presenter at the ceremony, which will be hosted as ever by Jonathan Ross.

American stand-up and actor Chris Rock will also present an award, as will politicians Robin Cook and Neil Kinnock...

Is this someone's idea of a joke?

I have always laughed at Robin Cook and Neil Kinnock

Moore? Cook? Kinnock (how will he manage to keep his nose out of the EU trough long enough to be there!). Sounds like a *terrific* idea to keep the Islington lot laughing their heads off (if only that were literal) at all the oh-so-clever 'in' jokes demeaning Blair and Bush. A laugh a minute...

Will Jim Davison get an invite? methinks not, so will there be calls saying his free speech has been removed. Nah.

ps Jon - guffaw!!
