There are, it seems, a few countries in which those of us who hope President Bush gets re-elected aren't regarded as freaks:

A Globescan international survey of 35 countries showed Mr Bush leading in only three: Nigeria, Poland and the Philippines, while opinion in India and Thailand was divided. Israelis generally favour Mr Bush and the latest Russian polls show that 52 per cent back him.

I don't imagine it is a coincidence that six of the seven countries listed have been on the recieving end of serious amounts of islamist violence.

I find it hard to believe that Mr. Pollard considers himself "one of those who hopes president Bush gets re-elected"; after all he recommended that us Londoners should re-elect that famous hard lefty terrorist's friend Ken Livingstone for mayor. Unfortunately, to our eternal shame, we did.

Yes MartinC and he admitted his mistake. Just because he was wrong (way) on that one does not mean he is wrong on wishing to see Bush in the White House.

I'd go further than you and question the 'freaks' point, too. I am sick of hearing people say how much the British are behind Kerry. The chattering classes are simply imposing their preferences on normal people, who show little real concern about this foreign election one way or the other.
