It's been at least, oh, a month without a tube strike, but thank heavens the RMT union has managed to find something to down tools over. And this one's special.
They're striking because an RMT member who was off work on sick leave for "several months" with a supposed ankle injury was filmed leaving a squash club.
Here's the cracker, from the Evening Standard:
LU claimed he had been playing "competitive" squash. But he told the Standard last month: "I was not playing squash. I was just exercising my ankle on a squash court."
Surely he deserves some credit for chutzpah?

"You can't get me I'm part of the union..." Hooray for labour governments. That song should be re-released every time they get in.
And yet in every dispute - regardless - the BBC will turn first to the union spokesperson and listen deferentially to every self-serving word, without any attempt at challenge.
I remember when the BBC were interviewing the Firemen's Union boss, (Gilchrist? Crow? They all merge into one) and asked him if they thought his fireman's strike might have any affect on the war (due to soldiers driving Green Goddesses etc). His reply? "What war? [on being told] Oh, I thought you meant the class war." It's just like the 70's. I feel 9 again.
