Bizarre article by Will Hutton, arguing that the success of the congestion charge points the way forward for the Left, and humiliates the Right.
For one thing, it's simply far too early to judge it a success (and I write that as an enthusiastic supporter of the charge). We still don't know the impact on business, or even properly on congestion.
But there's a fundamental flaw in Hutton's logic. As Ken Livingstone puts it: "I knicked the idea of Milton Friedman".
